When shopping, avoid aisles containing tempting diet busters
Don’t consider your this portion of your health maintenance regime as dieting, but rather as health control.
Never cook a diet buster food. Once prepared, you WILL gorge on it!
Tell your coworkers that you are on a diet. It may not prevent them from sharing a bag of candy amongst themselves, but they'll know not to offer any to you. And if you know that they are aware of your efforts, you may be more likely to practice self-control.
If a birthday or holiday party is on the way, make sure to keep some healthy snacks in your desk or purse. Then, when everyone else reaches for that fattening piece of cake or candy, you can opt for something you won't regret eating.
If your cravings take over, and you find yourself reaching for a slice of pizza or a homemade cookie, take a moment to remember why you went on the diet in the first place. A reality check may be all you need to stand up to temptation.
Don't pig out just because you're exercising. Exercise can increase your appetite, but don't let it give you a false sense of being able to chow down.
