Prevention

H1N1-09 is spread primarily through kissing, touching, and breathing in infected water droplets.

Since most of us are prone to more touching than kissing, we’ll focus on that aspect of prevention. Just about everything we do each day involves touching. Whether it’s making a cup of coffee, picking up a pencil, or using a keyboard, we touch, touch, touch. And don’t even think of wearing those plastic gloves... they also can carry, harbor, grow, and transmit influenza viruses.

The use of ionic air purifiers with HEPA filters goes a long way in killing many germs, including those associated with the flu bug.

To minimize your chances of catching the H1N1-09, The Research Center has developed two sets of suggestions - one for home and one for work.

As researchers, we believe the use of ionic air purifiers help reduce the risk of spreading this (and any other air borne disease) throughout your living and/or working spaces. To review our recommendations, click HERE

Just about everything we touch can carry the influenza virus. If someone sneezes or coughs on your keyboard, you can have a serious challenge on your hands... literally!
