Coronary Heart Disease
Coronary Heart Disease covers a broad spectrum of ailments. Included in this grouping are heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure.
Some of the earliest recognizable symptoms of coronary heart disease are chest pain (angina). There may be episodes of squeezing, fullness, or pain in the center of the chest. These episodes may last for several minutes and then come back again at a later time. Pain may also radiate to the shoulders, neck, or arms. Women may also have a tendency to experience swelling - particularly of the ankles and/or lower legs, stomach upset, dizziness, rapid heartbeats, shortness of breath and chronic fatigue more frequently than men.
