Is there any such thing as a “fit all” set of daily requirements with respect to nutrition, vitamins, and minerals? At one time, the United States Government thought perhaps there was. In fact, in 1976 the U. S. Government established a set of minimum daily requirements for vitamins, only to be withdrawn after years of debate and criticism.
